Description

Bridgestone took the established Potenza RE980AS and improved it as the RE980AS+. The advanced tread formulation carries over, as does the asymmetric all-season layout built from interlocking sipes, chamfered slots and circumferential grooves.

The upgrade adds extra sidewall stiffness, the construction pairs steel belts with a spiral-wrapped nylon cap, and the tread pattern is computer-tuned for low road noise.

In the 245/40R17 size, this tire has a 91W load and speed rating with extra load (XL) construction. Specs include 10/32-inch tread depth, a 51 psi maximum inflation pressure, a UTQG rating of 500AAA and an overall diameter of about 24.7 inches.
