Set of 4 Accelera X-Grip N 215/60R16 95H Performance Winter Tire

The Accelera X-Grip N is a performance winter tire manufactured for passenger vehicles and SUVs, and this model has some touring sizes too. The tire enhances winter weather performance: its asymmetric ribbed pattern, high-density siping placement and winter compound boost winter weather grip on the road surface. The high-density sinusoidal siping placement increases the number of biting edges gripping ice- and snow-covered road surfaces, while the compound keeps the rubber flexible in freezing temperatures, enhancing traction in winter conditions. Four wide circumferential grooves in the tread prevent hydroplaning by channeling water and slush from the footprint, keeping surface contact and further enhancing wet weather grip. The durable construction and the stronger compound work together to boost the tire's high speed performing ability. The internal structure maintains the ideal tire shape under the pressure of high speed driving, and the compound eases the pressure off the tire and prevents heat build-up along the tread area. The ideal tire shape and durable high speed performance enable the tire's high speed safety, so it is able to securely perform at its best high speed capability. The X-Grip N upgrades controllability as well. The asymmetric ribbed pattern closely follows the road surface and maintains surface contact at all times, enhancing steering responsiveness and driving stability. The high-density sinusoidal siping placement also shortens the braking distance, as these sipes create friction between the tire and the road surface, shortening the braking distance significantly. This helps the driver improve control over the vehicle during high speed winter weather performance. Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
